Good Notebook but Replace the Pen

The leather notebook cover is handsome, robust and well-made. But the pen didn't write. I wanted to fit a pencil anyway so discarded the pen and untaped the section of drinking straw that served to hold it. A pencil with eraser fitted neatly between the leather spine and the notebook spine. So, I'm happy.
